Computer Service Assistant (Temporary – One Year)

Head Start

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

This is a one-year temporary position. Under the direct supervision of the Computer Service Manager, the computer service assistant will assist the Computer Services Manager on multiple IT responsibilities including equipment installation, computer repair, office moves of computer equipment, responding to emails and phone support, osTicket support requests. Will assist in installing and configure hardware, operating systems, and application software on new and existing PCs, laptops, and printers, generates and print ChildPlus reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· AA Degree/Diploma/Cert in Computer Science or information technology field. A+ Certification is a plus.

· Six months or more on the job experience in one of the following areas: installation, repair, and maintenance of computers and networking

· Must have computer experience that will facilitate ready to use software.

· Advanced computer knowledge and experience with information management system.

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and obtain MVR within 15 days of employment. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to travel out of town and at night. Must be able to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing. Must have current physical.

     

 

 

WEATHERIZATION 

Weatherization Inspector Aide

$15.00 per hour 30 hours per week with benefits

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Responsible to the Quality control Inspector and Weatherization Coordinator for the operational aspects of the Agency’s home weatherization program. Duties include initial and final inspections, weatherization of homes, maintenance of necessary materials, tools, equipment and agency vehicles. Will schedule and conduct initial energy inspection of homes and ensures inspections are completed in accordance to the Weatherization Installation Standards and Policies & Procedures, Health & Safety, Lead Safe Practices and OSHA guidelines. Inspects work by crew upon completion. Reviews statements or estimates of work from subcontractors for accuracy and completeness.

Must be capable of performing light carpentry tasks. Know how to do NEAT/MEHA and implement form. Be able to climb ladders, work atop roofs and crawl through unfinished attics and crawl spaces. Able to use sound judgment. Capacity to relate to low-income clients. Must have valid driver’s license, transportation and appropriate vehicle insurance. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an outdoor environment. Must be able to pass full physical with pulmonary lung test.

Bus Driver

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Transport children to and from the Center. Provide transportation for parents to and from the Center. Keep daily pick up log and keeps bus clean. Must have High School diploma, at least 2 years training/experience in school bus driving and basic maintenance. Must have valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a “SP” endorsement and an excellent driving record. Good knowledge of the community and the ability to communicate well with pre-school children is helpful.

     

 

CENTRAL OFFICE

Health Services Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Will work under the supervision of the Child Services Manager, will implement the Health Services goals and objectives set forth by the Performance Standards and CSRA EOA, Inc. Policies. This is a year-round position. Some of the specific duties are: write and update health services work plan, review area budgets, supervise Health Aide, request needed supplies for each Center/Site. Must monitor health services program and approve the delivery of health services for children.

Must have a current Georgia LPN license, certified in CPR and First Aid and also computer skills. All applicants must have a current physical exam and health card; pre-employment drug screen; Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and be approved by our liability insurance.

RECEPTIONIST

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The position Receptionist will perform receptionist tasks necessary to maintain an effective front office operation. Provides accurate information about the Agency’s activities and /or services. In control of the Central Office switchboard, answering, and routing all incoming calls. Services all copy machines daily, sorts and meters outgoing mail. Maintains program supply distribution logs daily, supplies inventory and places orders as necessary. Assists the HR and Fiscal as needed. Works under the supervision of the Executive Director.

Desirable qualifications: Ability to type 50 wpm and High School Graduate.

 

     

 

 

RICHMOND, SYLVANIA AND EMANUEL COUNTY

Family Service Worker

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Works to insure that all aspects of the local program’s health, disabilities, social services, parent engagement and mental health components meet or exceed the requirements set forth in the Head Start Performance Standards. Assists in establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with community agencies and organizations. Is an advocate for the Head Start Programs and its families. Keeps all appropriate personnel informed of family situations and needs. Submits required monthly reports, enters component information into the computer. Recruits and enrolls Head Start children.

Must be able to communicate effectively, plan and organize. AA degree in the Social Services Field with three years’ experience in the area of Family Health and Social Services.

     

 

 

 

 

STATESBORO, BURKE AND RICHMOND COUNTY

TEACHER ASSISTANT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Plans daily activities with the teacher. Assists with the physical arrangement of the classroom and mealtime preparations. Works with the teacher to implement daily activities both inside and outside. Supervises loading and unloading of the buses, makes the required home visits, conducts the individual child assessment, and performs other duties as assigned.

Must have a high school diploma with vocational training in Early Childhood Education plus three years’ experience working with pre-school children. CDA Certificates will be required within first year.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Works directly with the children using various techniques and experiences to help each child develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. Develops and implements group and individual lesson plans which will meet the individual needs of the children weekly. Makes required home visits. Makes a complete assessment of each Child’s individual needs.

Minimum AA degree in Early Childhood Education and three years’ experience. Must have computer skills.

Must be able to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds or more. Business College/ Technical School graduate in the business-related field required. Must have at least one year of typing with a minimum of 50 wpm and clerical experience.
