Nutrition Kitchen Director

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Center Program Director, is responsible for
the preparation of meals, kitchen maintenance, food storage, assisting with menu
planning, and ordering food, equipment, and supplies for the center.

High school diploma and two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking in an
institutionalized operation, with inventory and cost control procedures. Prefer
experience working with senior citizens. Any work and/or life experiences which

Head Start Central Office

HEAD START/EARLY HEAD START DIRECTOR

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Head Start/Early Head Start Director is responsible for coordinating and directing all programs and administrative services for the Agency’s Head Start/Early Head Start Program and Child Care Partnership and State Pre-K Programs.

• Oversee the day-to-day management, operations, and compliance of the Agency’s Head Start/Early Head Start Child Care Partnership and State Pre-K Programs to include service to students in regular Head Start locations and Early Head Start Child Care Partnership students. Work with Fiscal Officer to prepare and implement the Head Start budget, striving to meet all requirements set forth by the Head Start Performance Standards and regulations. Coordinates efforts for generating non-federal match for the HS/EHS/CCP Programs to meet requirements. Develops funding applications for all grants in collaboration with the fiscal officer, program administrators, staff, board of directors, and policy council.

• Engage in ongoing assessment and data aggregation and analysis. Use qualitative and quantitative information for the improvement of Education, Family Engagement, Health, and mental health services, systems and processes including, but not limited to, curriculum fidelity system, aligned professional development, quality improvement, and mentor coaching. Collect, analyze, and produce data reports regarding the performance outcomes and experiences of children, families, staff, program outcomes, and other pertinent information affecting the design and implementation of Head Start, Early Head Start, Child Care Partnership Services, and programs.

• Ensures the maintenance of records and confidentiality of children, families, and staff as required by the agency, state, and federal guidelines. Identify, cultivate and maintain collaborative organizational partners, including school districts, higher education, social service agencies, in support of program goals and family needs. Participant in the development and monitoring of interagency agreements.

• Comply with all policies and procedures, state licensing regulations, Head Start Performance Standards, and other relevant regulations. Maintain a positive relationship with the Board of Directors, Policy Council, Executive Director, Office of Head Start, Head Start Association, State Head Start Programs, and all staff.

• Six years of administrative management experience in a large public or private nonprofit educational organization, preferably in Early Childhood Education, including four years of management experience with primary responsibilities for budgeting, contract oversight, monitoring program performance, facilities, personnel administration, and project management. Prior Head Start experience at a management level is highly preferred. Knowledge of the HS/EHS/CCD Program model, regulations, and standards as well as early childhood development, teaching strategies, and the high-quality learning environments for children aged birth to five is highly preferred.

• Problem solver capable of using data and sound judgment to drive decision­ making. Expertise in the processes for obtaining and managing large federal and state grants. Provide a positive image to the community as a leader and advocate for Head Start/Early Head Start Program and families in which we serve.

 

A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with coursework in business organization and management. Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Work involves the supervision and coordination of all aspects of the Early Head Start Program. Provides leadership and guidance to Early Head Start Staff for implementing program objectives and meeting programmatic requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development or related field is required. Two years’ experience working with families and infants/toddlers desired. Competent management skills, including proven supervisory and planning skills required.

SOCIAL SERVICES SPECIALIST

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Works under the direction of the Partnership Manager to ensure goals, objectives and performance standards are met. Specific duties are to recruit eligible children, write and update social services work plan, develop and request service area budget, organize a Family and Community Partnership Committee, utilize a system for identifying family needs, work with Family Service Workers to ensure state regulations are met and other duties as described in the job description.

Must have a valid driver’s license, a means of transportation, a current health card and an annual physical. Must have a clean MVR. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and travel out of town and at night. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, have a basic knowledge of community and resources, understand and implement HHS guidelines and the ability to address public gatherings.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Five years experience working in a public/private social service agency. Must have basic computer skills.

     

 

 

HEALTH SERVICES SPECIALIST

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Works under the direction of the Early Childhood Services Manager. Supervises the implementation of the Health Services goals and objectives set forth by the Performance Standards and EOA policies.

Writes and updates health work plan, reviews budgets, meets with committees for input on annual work plan and budget. Monitors the health services program, secures commitments for services and negotiates contracts and agreements. Distributes supplies and equipment to staff and monitors the delivery of health services for children.

LPN with current Georgia license is required. Two years’ experience with children is preferred. Must have valid Georgia Driver’s License reliable transportation and be approved by our liability insurance company. Good knowledge of the community and the ability to communicate well with pre-school children is helpful.

     

 

 

HEAD START CENTER OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Work involves the supervision and coordination of the three Center operations. Reports to the Center Director. Serves as a resource person for the staff and prepares monthly reports for the Supervisor and other appropriate Administrative Staff. Supervises the Center Staff. Schedules field trips. Ensures that the physical environment is safe and clean. Supervises and assists with the planning of classroom activities. Conducts center meetings at least monthly and prepare bus monitor schedule. Keeps adequate records and ensures their confidentiality.

Desire College study with course work in Early Childhood Education. AA degree in Management or a related field is required. Three years of experience working in a preschool setting. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

Computer Service Assistant (Temporary – One Year)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

This is a one-year temporary position. Under the direct supervision of the Computer Service Manager, the computer service assistant will assist the Computer Services Manager on multiple IT responsibilities including equipment installation, computer repair, office moves of computer equipment, responding to emails and phone support, osTicket support requests. Will assist in installing and configure hardware, operating systems, and application software on new and existing PCs, laptops, and printers, generates and print ChildPlus reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

· Must type a minimum of 45 wpm at 95% accuracy.

· AA Degree/Diploma/Cert in Computer Science or information technology field. A+ Certification is a plus.

· Six months or more on the job experience in one of the following areas: installation, repair, and maintenance of computers and networking

· Must have computer experience that will facilitate ready to use software.

· Advanced computer knowledge and experience with information management system.

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and obtain MVR within 15 days of employment. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to travel out of town and at night. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Works to insure that all aspects of the local program’s health, disabilities, social services, parent engagement and mental health components meet or exceed the requirements set forth in the Head Start Performance Standards. Assists in establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with community agencies and organizations. Is an advocate for the Head Start Programs and its families. Keeps all appropriate personnel informed of family situations and needs. Submits required monthly reports, enters component information into the computer. Recruits and enrolls Head Start children.

Must be able to communicate effectively, plan and organize. AA degree in the Social Services Field with three years’ experience in the area of Family Health and Social Services.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Plans daily activities with the teacher. Assists with the physical arrangement of the classroom and mealtime preparations. Works with the teacher to implement daily activities both inside and outside.
