Hydrate the HomelessSummer-like heat conditions are fast approaching the CSRA. To keep everyone hydrated during these times, we are collecting water bottles to help keep the homeless hydrated. CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc. , your local community action agency joins with the Georgia Community Action Association (GCAA) in announcing the availability of a $2,500 scholarship to be awarded on a statewide basis to a Georgia resident who is currently attending a post-secondary educational institution or has been accepted at such an educational institution.
The individual must be income eligible in accordance with the Community Services Block Grant guidelines and be successfully judged a winner in an essay writing competition. Maximum
annual income for a 1 person household is $30,120; 2 people is $40,880; 3 people is $51,640; 4 people is $62,400; 5 people is $73,160; 6 people is $83,920. The essay is to be entitled “What Community Action Has Meant to My Community”. The Georgia Community Action Association is a professional association composed of twenty member agencies from across the state, one of which is CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc. (CSRA EOA). The closing date for this scholarship is 12:00 noon, May 15, 2024. Essays and required documentation should be submitted to ahires@swgacac.com.
