Weatherization Contractors needed for HVAC and Weatherization Services for Weatherization Assistance Program

CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc. (CSRA EOA) is accepting proposals from qualified contractors interested in performing Weatherization and HVAC services for the Weatherization Assistance Program to benefit residents of income qualified households throughout Burke, Columbia, Emanuel, Glasscock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, and Wilkes counties. This is to build a pool of approved contractors. Weatherization activities will be managed under a substantially reduced allocation, resulting in a significantly reduced amount of homes CSRA EOA will be able to weatherize, and will also result in a reduction in the number of contractors needed to perform the installation of weatherization measures. Specific training and Insurance certifications and qualifications will be required to be considered for our approved contractor’s pool. Work is awarded based on qualifications and bidding on jobs. Is excited to partner with Wellcare!  The $5,000 WellCare grant award provides the Community Action Agency the opportunity to engage Wellcare families with crisis housing and utilities assistance, and lends well to the holistic approach that we believe truly strengthens families and communities.

New Approach to Accessing Homeless Services in Augusta

The Marion Barnes Resource Center for the Homeless

In response to the need for improved access to resources for community members experiencing issues of housing instability, CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc., is preparing to launch a new project to support homeless assistance programs in the Augusta-Richmond County area. Beginning Monday, March 6th, 2017, CSRA EOA will begin operations of the Marion Barnes Resource Center for the Homeless, located at 730 E. Boundary Street. This will include coordination of services available through the Partner Agencies of the Continuum of Care, access to mainstream resources through partnership with the local Department of Family and Children Services, and diversion and prevention assistance when appropriate to ensure as many persons avoid episodes of homelessness as possible.




Turn Back The Block and CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc. were presented with a $140,000 check from the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation today. The Priority Market grant award will support not only new, affordable home ownership opportunities through Turn Back The Block, but will also provide a means for existing homeowners in Harrisburg who are elderly and disabled to maintain their homes via home repair from CSRA EOA, Inc. Public Housing Program

The Housing Authority of the City of Augusta, Georgia, is pleased to announce that the Conventional Public Housing waiting lists will be open effective Wednesday, September 7th, 2016.

The Augusta Housing Authority. (AHA) will accept applications for Conventional Public Housing effective 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 7, 2016 through 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016. Applicants may complete preliminary on-line applications at Eligible applicants will be placed on the conventional public housing waiting lists and will be ranked by date and time, preference, and bedroom size.

Any individual, who needs an accommodations to complete an online application because of a disability, should contact 706-312-3113 for assistance or our TDD line online for those individuals who need such assistance. A kiosk with a computer is also available for online applications in the lobby for our office located at 1435 Walton Way, Augusta, Ga 30901.
